About Us
Javan Liam is currently regarded by many as being one of the
UK’s top professional photographers. His unique, fresh style has given a new lease
of life to social photography. While some photographers have shied away from advances
in digital photographic technology Javan uses his talents to produce stunning imagery
often not possible with old-fashioned film.
The depth and breadth of Javan's photography is testament to the skill of this talented
photographer. When Javan is asked how he captures such beautiful photography he
says "I am very passionate about my photography, I always shoot from the heart"
One can not compromise on social photography as you only have one chance to get
it right. With over 30 years experience you can relax in the knowledge that Javan
Liam of Harrogate will capture those special once in a life time moments.
Dave Milnes has been in the photographic industry for over 25 years
and joined JLP in 2000, and is our creative director, overseeing all of our designing.
He covers everything from our beautiful window pictures, show trailer and advertising
to all of our Coffee-Table-Books and bespoke albums. He is our technical guru and
knows everything about anything. Never seen without his fourteen year old cocker
Fearn or his camera, he began his education studying Fine Art and gained BA (Hons)
where he acquired important knowledge of the history of photography.
Rachel Wrightson was brought up on a dairy farm and has brought
her strong family work-ethic with her as the hub of the office and the queen of
organisation at JLP. As Javan’s PA she single-handedly manages his diary, juggling
appointments with the easy grace of a circus artist. Rachel has worked in the event
and hospitality industry for over 10 years, including working at Yorkshire’s top wedding and conferencing venue - Ripley Castle. Having organised her own wedding last year she can also
offer all sorts of useful tips! There is little that she couldn't help you with
and nobody that she doesn't know.
Howard Barnett is the joker of the team and has worked along side
Javan for many years. His knowledge of photography is endless and anything he doesn't
know is not worth knowing. Howard has been creating images for over 30 years, starting
his career at Sony he travelled with his camera all over the world. He will talk
for hours to anyone who will listen. At University he gained a BA (Hons) and Howard's
family keep him in check even when he's not with them (when he is usually on his
bike cycling for miles and miles...before breakfast).
Sarah Greene recently graduated from Leeds University with a BA (Hons) in Graphic and Communication Design. Sarah is Dave's right hand woman and helps with all aspects of design and book production. Sarah is from over the hills in Lancashire, but we dont hold it against her too much!
